Taryn R. Hutchison
We Wait You
About Me

I hail from a town called Harmony with a booming population of 75 people, three million chickens, several dogs, and my two imaginary friends. After I graduated from Salisbury University (in my home state of Maryland) with an Art degree, my traveling lifestyle began. I have lived all over the States and even two other countries (Romania and Hungary). I've visited all 50 states, lots of countries, and 6 continents. I'm holding at 6 continents - with no desire to add Antarctica to the mix.

I love people, art, story, and travel. I guess m
y ideal day involves swapping stories with a friend at a sunny café outside an art gallery in an exotic foreign locale, while drinking a frothy latte.

After 21 years as a missionary, I fulfilled my childhood dream and wrote my debut book, We Wait You. I've also published short stories in two Chicken Soup books and one Cup of Comfort book, and more than 25 articles. My husband and I have recently relocated from the bustling San Francisco Bay area to a sleepy town in North Carolina. I've come full circle, minus the imaginary friends, that is.

After a lifetime of having my name Taryn misspelled, when I married for the first time in my forties, I found that now no one can spell my last name either. (Hint: Hutchison is missing an "n.") I've beaten all my friends by being the first to become a grandmother - in a record seven years of matrimony. I have two adult stepchildren and two baby granddaughters.
