I'm the author of one book, We Wait You: Waiting on God in Eastern Europe (published in August 2008 by the Pleasant Word division of The Wine Press Group); and I've contributed to another book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Living Catholic (published in December 2008). I've also had more than 25 articles published.
I hail from a town called Harmony on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, with a booming population of 75 people, three million chickens, and a few dogs. Since earning an Art degree from Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland, I have lived all over the States and even two other countries (Romania and Hungary). I served on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ for 21 years, living in Eastern Europe for 10 of those years. For the past seven years, I have been an administrative assistant at Golden Gate Seminary near San Francisco.
I love people and travel - always preferring to experience the real local culture rather than a tourist resort. I've visited 45 countries, all 50 states, and six continents - with no desire to add Antarctica to the mix. My husband and I have recently relocated to a small town in North Carolina and are reveling in the relaxed pace after leaving the San Francisco Bay area. I have two adult stepchildren and two baby granddaughters.
